"I moved back to St. Paul in 2004 after many years away and found Five Star Auto Service (Until recently Four Star Auto Service) a few blocks from my new place of work. To this day Milli and Mike have taken care of my truck, and after a few years they took care of my wife's car, my mother's car and my father's car along with the company vehicles I was responsible for at my place of work. They are friendly, helpful, competent and above all honest about the work they do. I can't say enough good things about this team, it's been such a pleasure all these years to be able to trust what is being recommended regarding vehicle service, it truly is a privilege. They understand that I have a budget and are the best at advising me what needs to be done, what can wait to be done and what doesn't need to be done. They have never done repairs I don't need or don't want and they have always stood by the work they have done. On one occasion I took my vehicle in for a funny noise and they fixed that plus two other problems I wasn't aware of and it was all covered under warranty, the bill was $00.00. I can honestly say that this is the best place I've ever had working on my vehicles and after 16 years I have the privilege of calling Mike and Millie my friends and I love being able to call my friends to work on my car.

“My daughter was newer to the area and had some sudden issues with her SUV. Milli was able to get the vehicle in the shop within a day, and arrange a ride home while they evaluated the truck. They were both very professional. She called to review the findings and cost to repair within an hour. The vehicle was repaired by the end of the day. “I'm doing this because I'm going to get 10% off, but, whether it be good or bad I get 10% off. Luckily, my experience has been fantastic. I'm from a small town in Northern MN and love that this place feels just like a normal auto repair shop. I've been going here for about 2 years and they're always great. Milli, the front desk person is awesome- particularly that she's actually very knowledgeable and will type a summarizing email stating things that they recommend being done immediately, in the near future, or good to go. And she'll update this list as it goes on. Just had my rear brakes assemblies, pads, and rotors replaced that cost $321, quoted at $450 at another place just down University. Will be going here for years to come and still recommend them to my family and friends.”

“I developed a flat tire while near the University and discovered this shop searching for local auto shops. Mille was immediately helpful, honest and empathetic. Told me they would fit me in and have my car done by the afternoon. They checked in later with several options and clear input. Due to some unfortunate work hours, I wasn't able to make it back until a couple minutes after their closing time at 6 pm - someone was there waiting. Very satisfied with the end product of their automotive work and admire their customer service.”

“They are awesome! We have an 8 year old Nissan Altima and have had all the routine maintenance (oil change, tire rotation) done at four-star for the past few years. They are very courteous and friendly and Milli always takes the time to explain any issues with the vehicle and go over options. Recently, we had an issue with our airbag system that occurred right before a big trip (always the worst time) and they got us in immediately and resolved the issue quickly and professionally. If you're looking for a auto service which treats you well (and has reasonable prices!) they are the place to go. Thank for everything!”
